Ms Jasmin Lau

Jasmin Lau is currently the Deputy Secretary (Policy) at the Ministry of Health. This is her second stint at the Ministry of Health, where she also served between 2013 and 2019 in Healthcare Finance and oversaw the development and regulation of medical and long term care insurance in Singapore.​

From 2019 to 2021, she served as the Executive Director of the Singapore Global Network in the Economic Development Board. The Singapore Global Network coordinates and catalyses the Singapore Government’s efforts to strengthen Singapore’s overseas networks and talent strategies, and to enhance the international mindshare of Singapore as a leading and globally connected city. 

Jasmin has also held other appointments in the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Manpower and the Prime Minister’s Office. She holds Bachelor Degrees in both Economics and Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Outside of work, Jasmin is learning the ropes as a mother of 2 babies. She plays netball and basketball when she can, and enjoys long runs that help her to destress.
