VCF ICT grant provides co-funding for Small and Medium charities to harness ICT to facilitate the submission of returns and transactions on the Charity Portal.
The VCF ICT grant covers :
(a) Basic Infrastructure Components for all charities
2 Computers (Desktop or Laptop)
1 Broadband Account
Office Automation Tools (a software package that is on a subscription basis e.g. per user per month)
(b) Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software
For the enhancement of charities' basic operational capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office, Anti-virus, Adobe Acrobat) and adoption of Charities Accounting Standard (CAS)
(c) Conversion of accounting systems to adopt CAS
(d) Website Development (e.g. domain registration, installation and setup) on Content Management System to facilitate publishing of charity's information:
Approved applications are co-funded up to 70% of the supported costs or 70% of the actual expenditure, whichever is lower.
Cumulative funding is capped at $100,000 per charity over 5 years (1 Apr 2017 to 31 Mar 2022).
Funding will be disbursed upon VCF Secretariat's receipt of the reimbursement claim by charities, supported with certified true copy of the vendor's invoice and delivery order.
Charities may submit their VCF ICT Grant applications online with their preferred vendor’s quotation. For project costs exceeding $5,000, charities should also submit 3 quotations of comparable scope or specifications.
All applications for the VCF ICT grant should be submitted to the VCF Secretariat before the purchase or project commencement, including purchase contracts/engagement letters which the charity entered into with the vendor, to be eligible for the funding.
