Amending Your Governing Instrument
From time to time, you may need to review and update your charity’s governing instrument to ensure that it remains relevant. Your charity is required to inform the Commissioner of Charities (COC) or its Sector Administrator (SA) within 7 days if there is any change in its governing instrument. Such amendments need to be approved by the respective agencies:
- COC or SAs; and
- Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA); or
- Registry of Society (ROS)
