VCF Training Grant provides co-funding for local training courses to help charities comply with regulatory requirements and build good governance standards.
The grant covers local training courses, seminars in governance and management for Board members, executive heads and management staff of charities in the following policy areas:
Board Governance / Conflict of Interest;
Strategic Planning;
Financial Management & Controls;
Human Resource Management;
Fund Raising Management;
Volunteer Management
Online training courses are also included.

The approved applications are co-funded up to the quantum specified below :
$1,000 per course; or
$500/full-day course (8 hrs); or
$250/half-day course (4 hrs) per participant; whichever is lower
$700 per course; or
$375/full-day course (8 hrs); or
$187.50/half-day course (4 hrs) per participant; whichever is lower
Funding will be disbursed upon the completion of the course and receipt of the following supporting documents:
Certified true copy of training provider’s invoice;
Completed Course Evaluation Form;
Photocopy of Certificate of Attendance;
For Pre-approved Courses For Non Pre-approved Courses Participants will pay the training provider the net course fee (after VCF funding). The training provider will claim the VCF approved funding directly from the VCF Secretariat. participants will pay the full fee upfront to the training provider and claim reimbursement of the VCF approved funding from the VCF Secretariat.

For pre-approved local training courses conducted by the Social Service Institute (SSI), charities will register via the SSI website. Charities are not required to submit their Local Training Grant applications to the VCF Secretariat.
For non pre-approved courses and pre-approved courses by other training providers, charities may submit their applications online at least 1 month before the commencement of the course to be considered for funding.
For Training Providers Only
Training providers may submit applications for their courses to be pre-approved under the VCF Training Grant. Applications should reach the VCF Secretariat at least 3 months before the commencement of the courses.
